about me...

have been married to my husband for fourteen years and I am a mom to our five labor of loves, ranging from toddler to teen! I have used my long time passion for supporting families as a classroom teacher, a children's ministry coordinator, a volunteer with a teen pregnancy program, and as the director of a large and successful MOPS group. My personal experiences as a mother is what ignited and grew my passion for serving other families during their perinatal period.  As a Labor Doula in the Charlotte area, I am committed to encouraging, equipping, and empowering families as they experience the most joyful birth of their choice.

I have over fourteen years combined of personal and professional experience with pregnancy, labor, birth, newborns, postpartum and children.  I gave birth to all five of my children naturally in a hospital, two delivered by doctors and three delivered by midwives.  I have served and supported many friends, family members and clients during their pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, postpartum and newborn experiences.  I absolutely love what I get to do and consider it an honor to be a part of such a special time in the lives of my clients.

I am a CAPPA trained Birth Doula.  I am currently working on my certification and plan to have it completed by mid-year.   As a Labor Doula, I have had experience supporting clients in an adoption situation, induced labor, natural birth, slow to progress labor, no interventions, low interventions, VBACs and cesarean births.
